losingit2gether asked: Maybe bringing it up a head of time would be best? Ease her into it?I found the good thing about a piercing is it is not permanent and a belly ring can be hidden. I had mine done before and I never really showed anyone. I just got it for me, it made me feel pretty. If you approach it maturely maybe she will let you or just ask her to think about it, that you don't want an answer right away.
Yep. That’s how I did it with my cartilage piercing. I have my earlobes done once each and one cartilage piercing on my left ear. She is very strict about body modification. I think that since it will most likely take me a while to lose as much weight as I want the healthy way, I have a while to convince her that it’d be fine. For my cartilage piercing, I talked to her about it 4 months in advance, did all the research I could on it, and we went together to check out the place I was going to get it done at, and she was comfortable with it.
I’m going to do that again for this piercing. I think that she’ll just say no though because she thinks they’re super trashy.
That’s true about them not being permanent and a belly button piercing is easily hidden.
Thank you for your advice! (:
